EPTES will join hands with US pavilion in CIIF2010

With the approach of 2010, good news comes one after another. EPTES formally signed cooperative contract with the organizer of US pavilion. US pavilion will be present at Environmental Protection Technology and Equipment Show (EPTES) of China International Industry Fair2010 (CIIF2010) with a net area of 216 square meters. In addition, the two sides will continue to jointly promote the EPTES of CIIF.

The United States is the world's largest producer and consumer of environmental technologies. These environmental technologies including processing techniques, products and services which are conducive to sustainable development or environment-friendly, and are related to pollution control, waste management, ecological restoration, environmental monitoring, and recycling. U.S. environmental industry can be divided into three main categories, they’re environmental services, environmental equipments, and environmental resources. It has been a sustainably growing and important component of the global economy. The yearly growth rate of U.S. environmental technologies and services market from 1998 to 2003 was 1.8%. The yearly growth rate of solid waste management services from 1997 to 2002 was 2.9%. The total revenue had exceeded more than 51 billion U.S. dollars. In 2002, there were 115,000 environmental industrial enterprises in U.S, of which small and medium-scale enterprises were in the majority and created 28% of total revenue of U.S. environmental industry. Meanwhile, the large companies created 40% of total revenue of U.S. environmental industry, the municipal authorities and other public entities created 32% of that.

Because of the increasing emphasis on environmental protection, the two countries will continue to strengthen cooperation in this field. Therefore, we have every reason to believe that the signing of EPTES cooperative contract between U.S. and China is of importance to the developing Chinese environmental industry. The speed-up of exchange and cooperation in environmental protection field adds to growing evidence that cooperation in environmental industry between the two countries is endowed with promising future.
